Hero’s Club

Hero’s Club normally meets on MONDAYS when school is in session . . . from SCHOOL DISMISSAL to 5:30 p.m. However, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Hero’s Club is not meeting.

Hero’s Club is for children Kindergarten through 5th Grade.

WHAT IS HERO’S CLUB?
Hero’s Club is a Biblically-centered club for students in kindergarten through 5th grade. Meeting every Monday afternoon when Frederick County has school, from school dismissal to 5:30 p.m., we will look at trust, courage, forgiveness, obedience and love through the eyes of our Biblical heroes. Students will move between snack time, play time, a Bible story and activity, and homework time. Growing closer to one another and closer to God, students will gain greater self-confidence and grow in their faith, looking upon themselves as the Hero’s they are!

HOW DOES MY CHILD GET TO HERO’S CLUB?
Leaders from Hero’s Club will meet students on Monday afternoons at dismissal of Wolfsville Elementary School. Students will be signed-in to Hero’s Club and walked to Salem United Methodist Church. All students will remain on church property until parents or other authorized persons pick them up. If your child does not go to Wolfsville Elementary School, but would like to attend, drop off at Salem begins at 3:45 p.m.

HOW MUCH DOES HERO’S CLUB COST?
Each family is asked to contribute as they are able. Some families may not be able to contribute. That’s okay — we want every child to have an opportunity to attend Hero’s Club. The suggested contribution is $20 per month. Tuition is due the first meeting of each month. All contributions remain confidential.

WHAT HAPPENS IF I NEED TO GET IN TOUCH WITH HERO’S CLUB WHILE MY CHILD IS THERE?
To contact your child, or to speak to the staff while Hero’s Club is in session, please call the Salem Church phone at 301-293-1799.

WHERE DO I PICK UP MY CHILD?
Students need to be picked up from Salem Church by 5:30 p.m. on Monday afternoons. Adult supervision will be provided from 5:30-6:00 p.m. if a later pick-up time is required. The adult picking up a student must be listed on the Hero’s Club Student Registration and will be asked to show a photo identification.

HOW DO I SIGN UP?
To register your student for Hero’s Club, please complete a registration form and return it with the first month’s tuition to:
